Vacation Membership Booking Platform
Project Overview & Objectives
This mobile application enables vacation membership users to explore resorts, check availability, and book stays up to 13 months in advance using a credit-based system. The platform integrates with multiple backend APIs to deliver real-time availability, inventory, and promotional offers. Designed to digitize and streamline the booking experience, it features user account & credit management based on membership tiers (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum), waitlisting, and flexible payment options (credits + card) for a seamless travel experience.
The Core Business Challenges
Managing membership credit allocations across multiple tiers (Bronze to Platinum) was highly complex. The client’s legacy APIs caused transaction failures during high-traffic booking windows. Additionally, resort availability checks were slow, leading to booking abandonment.
Our Engineering Approach
We developed a cross-platform mobile app in Flutter with an optimized cache state manager. We constructed a resilient payment gateway integration allowing users to combine credits and credit card payments. An automated queue-based waitlisting engine was also implemented to handle high-demand booking windows smoothly.
